A joyful and adventurous workshop for 6-10-year old girls, investigating the relationship between body and imagination. A lively mash-up of yoga-based movement, theatre games, sensory exercises, storytelling, and hands-on projects, the course is designed to help young girls tap into their innate creativity as they stretch and strengthen both their bodies and their imaginations. Applicable to all the arts and beyond, the work builds confidence by encouraging uninhibited participation, inquiry, improvisation, physical freedom, individuality, collaboration, involved listening, and a spirit of playfulness. Lotus Girls empowers each participant to discover and celebrate her own unique artistic voice.

Distilling 15 years' experience devising customized yoga/arts courses for children and adults, Jenny created a signature collection of yoga-based wellness tools and creativity-enhancing practices for artists of all kinds. She's taught variations of the program to actors, writers, producers, designers, philanthropists, and entrepreneurs in multiple venues, including full semesters within a conservatory, as a guest teaching artist in undergrad programs, in corporate settings, on private retreats, and in individual sessions. Jenny has a longstanding commitment to outreach—creative empowerment of young people, especially girls—and has devoted significant time to pro-bono work with children, leading classes within highly diverse New York City public schools. She holds a BA in English Literature, MFA in Acting, multiple yoga teaching certifications, and is a two-time recipient of the Lincoln City Fellowship, a generous grant from the Speranza Foundation, for her integrative work in writing, arts education, play development, and women’s initiatives.
